Deer Hunt

This year was fun because both Devin and his mom got their first deer! We went up on Friday October 21 which was Kiegens 4th birthday set up camp and hung out. Had a little birthday party for kieg

Saturday Mom dad dev all went out early to look for deer and came back with nothing. At lunch dad said a prayer that we would be able to go home with a deer. After lunch I was lets me honest tired of Kiegen so I asked mom to take him on a ride on the 4 wheeler so I could nap and next thing we know we are waking up to " I just got a deer" she got her first deer all by herself! It was awesome and an awesome shot. We got back and cleaned her deer up went back to camp and ate an early dinner we made sure to say thank you to Heavenly Father since there was a teaching experience going.

About 5pm we went out to look for deer/call uncle zack and aunt chanise. In the back of the truck was Devin, kiegen, and I we were driving for a little bit then kiegen looks up at me and whispers "mommy we should say a prayer" I said "ok buddy lets say one" I said one in my head and looked down and him and he was whispering a little prayer. Not more than 2 mins later we go around a corner and what do we see but a few deer and sure enough Dev was able to get one! It was kinda fun since i had never been out with them and seen it done! But the best part was kiegen so proud that he knew that his prayer had helped! so we knelt down right next to the deer and said a prayer of graditude.

It was so much fun! We always love to go!

He is growing up so fast and doing so well! He is fun to talk to and always keeps us on our toes!

She is growing like a weed and is laughing and smiling and is so much fun!

We are so lucky to have to sweet kids we have we couldn't be happier to be their parents!!

This is a little late but we blessed Zoie Renee on September 5 2010 She wore the same dress her mommy wore when she got blessed so it was extra special. She looked so cute and didn't cry during the nice blessing her daddy gave her!

I can't believe my baby is already 2 months old I swear it flies too dang fast! She is growing good she has the fattest little cheeks I love them! She is smiling and cooing which is just precious! We took her to the doctor the other day and here are her stats

Its kinda weird having her be so small Kiegen has always been on the other side of the spectrum (over 50%) We love having her around and her brother especially loves her it melts my heart to see them together she smiles biggest for him! We are so blessed with the kids we have!

My baby is 1 month already! I don't know where the time goes it amazes me! She is growing and doing well! Kiegen is in love with her and is really protective its really cute!!

She is home! When she was taken to the nursery they noticed that she was grunting and retracting so they wanted to put her on oxygen to help her breathe. They put her on a cpap machine which didn't work so they took an xray to check her lungs which turned out were good. They decided she probably had an infection they put her on antibiotics and moved her to the NICU. The doctor wanted to do at least 7 days antibiotics but wanted to make sure that nothing grew on the blood culture when they got the results there was a growth which they thought was lysteria which is a dangerous and rare bacteria. They ran another test and found out it wasnt lysteria so she was set to do just 7 days. She had a pic line put in so they wouldn't have to poke her so many times. Her first pic line fell out so they did another one. Its quite a process I am so grateful for modern medicine! She got out of the hospital on Tuesday July 6th! It was a hard week going back and forth thank goodness for family that is willing to help! We love having her home and Kiegen just loves to hold her and look at her its really sweet!

Zoie Renee decided to join our family on June 28 2010 at 4:33pm she weighed in at 5 pounds 14 ounces and was 17 1/2 inches long. More info and pics to come later!

37 Weeks!

So she made it! We are officially full term!! YAY!! I am dilated to a 3 70% -1 station so hopefully soon since she feels like she is falling out!!

36 WEEKS!!

Tomorrow I will be 36 weeks. I have been having some good contractions which landed me in Labor and Delivery twice last week... so frustrating. However I think it will be sooner rather than later but we will see. I feel better about her being healthy since technically she is only 1 week away from being considered full term. I will post on Wednesday after my appointment if anyone is interested. Oh as of now I am dilated to a 2 with 80% effaced.

33 Weeks

Went to the Dr yesterday and things look good!! We didn't have any problems to report so hopefully this means I am going to make it to at least 37 weeks! He does want to do an ultrasound just to be sure in 3 weeks! I am super excited since at 36 weeks we should be able to see everything..hair,eyelashes,etc. So excited she will be here before we know it!

Finally Good News

We had another ultrasound yesterday and they found that the placenta has completely moved out of the way of the cervix so I wont have to have a C-Section!! (unless something goes wrong during delivery) It was very good news to hear now I can do pretty much anything and not have to worry about any serious bleeding! They are measuring her at 3 pounds 9 ounces! She looks great! We are on track for a July baby which is seriously coming so fast!

So Zoie Looks just like her brother. Her picture from this weeks ultrasound is first his is the bottom.
Things looked better today at a certain view it looked like she has plenty of room to come out without a C Section however at another view it looked like she didn't have enough space so we are doing another ultrasound in 2 weeks. She looks good though and they are guessing she weighs about 3 pounds.

27 Weeks

We went today for an ultrasound to see why I am having bleeding and pain. Zoie looks good heart rate is good getting close to high but good. They found that I have an accessory lobe which means my placenta is split and part of it is sitting more or less on my cervix if it doesn't move up by the time I deliver we are looking at a C-Section. I am hoping it moves but we wont play with fire any sign that its not normal we will just do it! I go in on April 30th for another ultrasound. I have a feeling that is going to be the case until she is born every 2 weeks going in. I was also put on pelvic rest which means no sex... also if I have pain or bleeding I am supposed to lay down so nothing goes wrong.

Its interesting because since day one I have felt that I would have this baby C-Section so I don't know if that was the Lords way of preparing me or if I am just crazy...

I will keep this updated and we learn more.

Pregnancy Update

So here we sit 25 1/2 weeks with baby Zoie and she is anxious to be out! I have been having some pretty good pain and increased fluid and bleeding so they thought that I was in pre term labor they did all kinds of tests and found good news that I'm not! They are going to do an ultrasound on the 13th just to make sure everything is ok. The dr did say that he thinks my body is preparing for and showing signs for pre term labor... hopefully its not the case we will see!

Ultrasound at 12 weeks

If you look close you can see the face hand and foot! So cute!!

We went in for our 12 week appointment on December 30 and they couldnt find the heartbeat so they got the ultrasound out and found the heartbeat it was strong the baby is in my back which explains the pain and why no heartbeat. I was just happy there was one! Its crazy I am 15 weeks and I swear I just found out! Amazing how the 2nd one has gone it seems like the first goes by slow because your so excited but the 2nd sneaks up on you and makes you freak that you might not be ready!! :) I still have 5 1/2 months to get ready!

Big Boy Bed

So Kiegen has been getting out of his room lately so we decided to put him in his big boy room, and a big boy bed. We bought him the cars bedset to make things easier. Putting him to bed tonight was hard on this mommy. He didn't really like it either but will be fine. I just hope I adjust. :) I don't know why its so hard but its weird seeing my baby in a big bed he seems so small.

So we found out a few weeks ago that we are expecting again! The picture is hard to tell but YAY! We are very excited it only took 3 months and 1 miscarriage instead of 2 1/2 years and 8 miscarriages! We couldn't be more excited! We are hoping for a girl but we will see! Our due date is July 12th.

I can't believe that Kiegen is already 2 years old. It has gone by way too fast. We had lunch with Grandma and Grandpa Sweeney and Cake and ice cream with other family it was a good birthday thanks to everyone for all the great gifts!! We love you baby boy!!

Ok So I finished my diet and lost a total of 11 pounds. I should have lost more but I cheated (oops) but I am happy to have lost 11 pounds!! Lets see how I do on my own!! Only 42 more to go!!

So this diet is supposed to work better for bigger people(me) but I had a friend point out that I haven't been losing as much because of the salt I have been taking in. So I cut that out and finally is comes off...go figure! haha so day 18 I have lost 10 pounds.

So I have been on this diet for 11 days and have lost 8 pounds. I have hit a Plateau which is NEVER fun but will get over it soon!! (I hope) but still 8 pounds not bad!!

NO NO KIEGEY

So Kiegen has been saying No No Kiegey (mom calls him Kiegey) and the no no is obviously from mom and dad telling him no no but he is so cute shaking his little finger saying no no Kiegey. Even while he sits in his car seat on the way to the babysitter he says it. It was so cute I thought I would share it with all of you. He is so smart picking up on all the little things we say and do even punishing himself for doing nothing.

5 Amazing Years!

So Devin and I had our 5 year Anniversary on July 22nd I am a slacker and haven't written yet. We celebrated by having Kiegen spend the night before at grandmas and we went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse and went to a movie. Then on our anniversary we went to Lagoon and had TONS of fun!! It was great to just be us and be able to remember why we love each other!

I'm Back

Wow life can kinda run away from you can't it. Sorry we have kinda disappeared.

I was having fainting spells so we went to the dr and he sent us to the Heart dr who did tests and told me that my heart looks good so we went to the Neurologist who did 2 MRIs ( I have serious claustrophobia by the way) and they found a tiny tiny spot on my brain they are not worried about which is good. So they did a nerve study which ended up being normal. Then he decided to do a LP (spinal tap) to see if I had too much pressure (fluid) that was a joke it didn't go well so I got the spinal migraine which lasted for like a week. It came out fine which ultimaley is good. They concluded that I have really bad migraines that were causing my fainting. I am now on migraine medicine which is helping with the fainting and helping me lose weight (which I am NOT complaining about)

so that is why I have not been updating sorry!!

Devin is good he got a promotion at work so he is now in charge of 2 guys and loves to go to work. He spends every second he can with Kiegen and Kiegen loves every second of it. They are ALWAYS together which is always awesome to see! I couldn't ask for a better family!!

Ok so within a few days I will be coming back to life. It has been a little crazy in our home so I will be posting all about it soon I have just had a few people asking if we died so no we havent we have just been bust sorry!!

POOR POOR KIEGEN

So beginning of February Kiegen was really sick and had to be put in the hospital for dehydration they kept him there for 9 hours. They sent us home because they needed the room(which they never used) so last week Kiegen got really sick again (oh yeah by the way his daddy was out of town) so on Friday he wasn't doing any better and I took him back to the doctor and they decided that he needed to go back into the hospital for dehydration.
We got there on Friday at 6:00pm. It was NOT fun seeing him get the iv put in and being stuck to the short tube. He decided on Saturday morning at 5:00am that he didn't want his iv in anymore so he decided to pull it out. We had to wait until the doctor came in for them to put it back in. They told us they were running all kinds of tests and we were waiting for the resullts before we could leave. Saturday at 2:00pm Devin got to the hospital which took a lot of pressure off me. Sunday they told us that all the tests came back negative but we still had to wait until monday for Kieg's doctor to come in and decide what to do. He came on Monday at 8:00am and told us they didn't have anything they could do for us so he sent us home with instructions to watch him close. We were out the door at 8:20am we couldn't wait to get our monster home.
He is finally starting to act like Kiegen which we are very excited about. We are just hoping that it goes away forever! They never could tell us what was wrong and I hope they never have the chance to find out.

So Devin has been gone since last Friday. I now fully appreciate how much he helps me (not that I didn't before) He is always willing and happy to help me with Kiegen and I love him for that!! I can't believe that we have been married for almost 5 years. It has been the best 5 years of my life. I couldn't ask for a better husband than him. I love him so much and wanted to let everyone know how much he means to me. I love you Devin thank you for all you do for me and Kiegen!

A New Toy

We got a new freezer the other day and we have the box in our front room, well Devin decided to turn it into a little house for Kiegen. Here are some of the pictures. Kiegen loves it! A Little Jaunt

We had a fun little jaunt to Primary Childrens Hospital today. Kiegen fell down some stairs yesterday and in the middle of the night threw up EVERYWHERE. We took him to the doctors today and they sent us up to Primary's for a CT Scan. It was hard to see my little baby strapped down the the table screaming. But the results we good... ish no bleed just a concussion. THANK GOODNESS!!!! So we will be watching him much more now. He is independent and so he keeps us busy. We are just glad he is ok. Thanks everyone who sent out prayers that he would be we really appreciate it!!!

I can't believe that our baby is one! The year has gone by so fast. Kiegen has been the best thing that has ever happened to us!! He brings such joy into our lives. He keeps us busy but we love every minute of it!! He is so happy and hardly ever throws a fit. He is 20 pounds 4 ounces 30 1/4 inches and walking "talking" and laughing often! We couldn't be happier life is good!!!

We went with Grandpa and Gramma Young up Spanish Fork canyon deer hunting. We didn't get anything but it was still fun playing and being with them. Kiegen did really good in the dirt he only ate a little. We had fun riding the four wheeler and playing games and horse shoes. It was a lot of fun and good to get away!!

We unfortunatly went to Canada for my Grandma Joyces' funeral. It was hard but it was good that we were all able to go. Devin even took some time off work to come with us. It was a long drive but it was good that we went.

Kiegen is 4 almost 5 months old now at his appointment he was 13 pounds 13 oz 26 1/4 inches long. He is 30th% in Weight and 90th% in Height. and his head is in the 75%. So tall Skinny with a big head!! He is so fun now that he has his little personality.

We are so happy to welcome our beautiful baby boy in to our family. He was born on Sunday October the 21st of 2007 at 15:04. He weighed 7.9 pounds and was 20 inches long. He is beautiful and healthy other than Jaundice, but he will be just fine. We are NOT worried for about Genetic Disorder. Nicole is doing just fine we just want our baby to be healthy and over the Jaundice. We are going home today around 15:00 and will have to have Kiegen at home with the lights for the Jaundice.
